grrr

I have all my numbers from my AM and PM workouts, but they are downstairs and I don't feel like getting them. Maybe I will add them to tomorrows blog.

I'm a bit annoyed that I haven't lost any weight. I think I'm going to have to start logging what I eat.

Got the fridge and island cleaned today. I should have taken before/after pics of the island, especially the cabinet! Looks good! Cleaned the hallway bathroom toilet, too. Vacuumed the living room yet again, put down some deodorizer, too. And did the poopy laundry.

Tomorrow is another busy day. DH has to go to the medical group, then to WalMart. Not sure what I'll get done in terms of cleaning. Maybe mop the kitchen. But everything is maintaining right now.

To Do

Well, I actually home all day today. Wow. But I need to get some computer work done, so just a little bit on the housecleaning -- kids' laundry, kitchen island, refrigerator.

I'm a bit bummed because I'm going to miss the next two morning workouts. Thursday DH has a doctor appointment in the AM, and then Friday I'll be at Autism Awareness Day all day.

Good day!

Got lots done today, including 2 workouts!

AM

BIKE:

Time - 30 minutes
Program 2
Highest Resistance - 9
Calories - 242
Miles - 9.2

Heaviest Weight: 200
Last Weight : 174.5
Today's Weight: 175.5 (up 1 pound)

Total Weight Loss (from heaviest): 24.5
Ideal Weight: 110
Pounds left to go: 65.5

Short term goal: 165.7
Pounds left to go: 9.2

I really need to start watching what I eat. I've been trying to take it slow and for the first couple of weeks just concentrate on getting back into the exercise habit.

I did the Wii also: breathing, half moon, warrior in the yoga and the basic hula and basic step in the aerobics.

Got everything done on my to do list (laundry, vacuum, counter & cookbooks). The kitchen is looking really good! Next is the fridge and the cupboards and drawers. I don't feel particularly rushed to do the cupboards and drawers since no one can see that mess, LOL. But the cupboards need to be cleaned out since all the bugs seem to be coming in from the cold.

PM Workout

BIKE:

Time - 35 minutes
Program 2
Highest Resistance - 9
Calories - 273
Miles - 10.7

I'm really enjoying getting back into my Netflix again while working out! We finished the entire Star Trek: The Next Generation this week. Saw the most recent Stargate direct to DVD movie (better than the 1st one). Now working on Stargate: Atlantis (finished SG-1 a while ago). Also got the movie Full Metal Jacket.

Back on track

Too busy with errands and exhausted from no sleep yesterday to get anything done. Not quite as busy today, although Kayla does have horses today and I have to stop by the lab to pick up stool collection bags. Fun, fun.

Today I need to do some laundry, vacuum the house, and clean the last bit of counter in the kitchen, and perhaps organize the cookbook area. The kitchen is looking pretty good!

And of course get back on the bike!

Night Workout

I managed to get a workout in tonight:

BIKE:

Time - 30 minutes
Program 1
Highest Resistance - 7
Calories - 248
Miles - 8.3

I weighed myself on the Wii, but it wasn't accurate since I usually weigh myself in the morning.

Got my ToDo list done, although I almost forgot to put the kitchen rags in the dryer. I also managed to wipe down the dishwasher.

Things still look pretty good, although I forgot to sweep up this morning. The kitchen floor could probably use another mopping, but not today or tomorrow.

Tomorrow is a super busy day. Laurie has an early emergency dentist appointment, then I have to drop her off at school. Come home for lunch and call Crystal Run to see if Kayla labs are done. Pick up the lab reports if they are ready. Pick up Kayla from school and take her to Middletown for her Pediatric GI appointment. Sheesh. No time for housework tomorrow!

Sleep In Sunday

Boy, I was so worn out yesterday, even after SEVEN cups of coffee. So I think I'm going to have to take one weekend morning to sleep in!

So I slept in today and didn't do my AM workout. Which is a bit of a bummer because it was too hot to work out last night and tomorrow morning no workout because Laurie has an AM dentist appointment.

Anyway, yesterday got my short to-do list done: the toaster oven and stove. Moved a bit further along my kitchen and got the walls cleaned behind the toaster and stove plus the counter to the right of the stove.

Another light day today -- clean the mircowave area and do rags laundry. Everything else is still looking pretty good, too!

Itsy Bitsy Spiders

Got my to-do list completed yesterday. Including vacuuming a whole bunch of spiders out the corners of our house! There's a whole bunch of nearly invisible spiders everywhere. It's a bit freaky. We must have had an egg sac hatch or something. I have a feeling we'll be vacuuming spiders for a few weeks!

Also got the laundry done, dusted the house, and cleaned the glass. AND I went to the bank, wiped down the kitchen ceiling fan, cleaned the dish drainer, and started cleaning the toaster oven.

Plus, everything else still looks good!

Can't get much done today since the kids are home. But I do want to finish cleaning the toaster oven and also clean the stove. Ugh. The stove is so greasy! I started by taking off the knobs and cleaning those.

I didn't get my second work out in last night. It was too hot!

From the AM workout:

BIKE:

Time - 30 minutes
Program 1
Highest Resistance - 6
Calories - 283
Miles - 9.8

Heaviest Weight: 200
Last Weight : 175.7
Today's Weight: 174.5 (up .5 from yesterday - I knew I didn't lose nearly 2 pounds in 1 day!)

Total Weight Loss (from heaviest): 25.5
Ideal Weight: 110
Pounds left to go: 64.4

Short term goal: 165.7
Pounds left to go: 8.7

I got back on the Wii again, but only did a couple of yoga things --

Breathing 92
Half Moon 87

And this morning I just did the bike.

BIKE:

Time - 30 minutes
Program 1
Highest Resistance - 6
Calories - 205
Miles - 8.1

Took it easy today, I was just so tired. I think the 5:30 A - midnight schedule is catching up to me!

Heaviest Weight: 200
Last Weight : 175.7
Today's Weight: 174.5 (the same)

Total Weight Loss (from heaviest): 25.5
Ideal Weight: 110
Pounds left to go: 64.4

Short term goal: 165.7
Pounds left to go: 8.7

--Vacuum spiders out of corners
--Dust house
--Clean glass in house

and also

--Call Dentist (Laurie's tooth has been hurting her very badly)

A good recap

Today went well! Kayla did well with her blood draw. I got to go food shopping early and it wasn't crowded! PLUS, they were out of the store brand grape jelly that was on sale so they substituted Smuckers. And they were out of medium eggs that were on sale so they substituted large eggs!

I got home early enough to do my morning workout and weigh in!

BIKE:

Time - 30 minutes
Program 1
Highest Resistance - 4
Calories - 210
Miles - 9.6

Heaviest Weight: 200
Last Weight : 175.7
Today's Weight: 173.9 (down 1.8 from yesterday)

Total Weight Loss (from heaviest): 26.1
Ideal Weight: 110
Pounds left to go: 63.9

Short term goal: 165.7
Pounds left to go: 8.2

I succeeded in vacuuming the living room couches and cleaning the master bathroom. And so far the dining room table, Laurie's desk, the hall bathroom and the sink are still looking good!

Unfortunately, dusting wasn't on my list for today and DH noticed a whole bunch of spiders and spiderwebs everywhere! AACK!

Did an evening workout as well:

BIKE:

Time - 30 minutes
Program 1
Highest Resistance - 5
Calories - 221
Miles - 9.2

ToDo

Another errand day. Kayla has (hopefully) her blood draw this morning, then I have to go food shopping. DH still work on that project for me to do.

But as far as household stuff I still want to get done:

-Vacuum living room couch (full of pretzel/cookie/waffle crumbs -- why do I let Kayla eat in there?)

-Clean master bathroom (not taking before/after pics of that!)

Kayla's labs are at 8:15 this morning, so I probably won't get my morning exercise/weigh in. Bummer.

How Wed went

Well, I got everything done on my to-do list! I mopped the floor (no before/after pics, couldn't get a good shot with the flash going off) and then did DH's project. The project took the whole rest of the day.

I did remember to bring my towels in from yesterday, LOL.

I did a few extra things, too. I beat the kitchen rugs. This is a job for when you are angry. They just don't seem to get as clean when you are content! I thoroughly cleaned one counter -- although I need to clean the appliances ON the counter. I even scrubbed the hallway toilet again. I vacuumed the upstairs.

And I cleaned and polished the stainless steel kitchen sink. It is downright gleaming right now! I scrubbed it with baking soda. It's the only thing that seems to work on that sink.

And so far I've maintained everything else -- the dining room table is still clear, Laurie's desk is still neat, and the hall bathroom still looks great. OK, so it's only been 2 days, but something's usually trashed by then!

We stuck pretty much to the school day schedule I did. Except everyone ate at 4:30P. Talk about an early dinner! And I didn't give the kids a bath. I'm one of those "baths every other day" moms.

I got my evening work out in:

BIKE:

Time - 30 minutes
Program 1
Highest Resistance - 3
Calories - 160
Miles - 8.7

Still working up to my previous level. I'm taking it slow this time so maybe I'll stick with it!

Exercise -- FINALLY!

I did an easy 30 minutes last night on the stationary bike, but didn't record anything.

This is what I did this morning:

BIKE:

Time - 30 minutes
Program 1
Highest Resistance - 2 (It goes up to 16!)
Calories - 159
Miles - 9.3

I also turned on the Wii Fit again, but didn't do any exercises. I just wanted to get my weight:

Heaviest Weight: 200
Last Weight (July 9, before we left for Hershey Park): 169.5
Today's Weight: 175.7
Total Weight Loss (from heaviest): 24.3
Ideal Weight: 110
Pounds left to go: 65.7
Short term goal: 165.7

So, I only gained 6.2 pounds from vacations. I though I had gained at least 10!

The pounds to my Ideal Weight seems too overwhelming. So, I set a short term goal of 10 pounds in 2 months. That's very achievable. I need to start out easy so I don't get too frustrated. Even at 5 pounds a month, by next summer (June) I should be able to lose 50 pounds. We'll see!

Tuesday Done and Wednesday ToDo

I forgot to post that I got everything (there wasn't much) on my To Do list done yesterday.

I'm especially proud of Laurie's desk:

BEFORE:

AFTER:

I did the towels laundry, but I forgot to take them in from the clothesline!

I even did a couple extra things -- I vacuumed the living room and I did a VERY easy 30 minutes on the exercise bike.

DH has a work project for me to work on today, so not much on the ToDo list as far as housework. Just mopping the kitchen floor! And starting to get back into exercising and eating properly.

And following the new School Day schedule! I'm already up at 5:30A to get some computer stuff done. Hopefully the rest of the schedule will work out as well.

Well, we'll see how this goes....

To Do

Can't plan too much today, since Kayla has a lab appointment in the AM and hippotherapy in the PM. Plus DH has a lot of computer work for me to do. So basically just what I didn't get done yesterday:

-Create basic schedule for school days
-Towels laundry
-Laurie's desk

Done -- Going Great!

Wow, this list thing is awesome! I got so much done! PLUS, since I was so busy getting stuff done on my list, I didn't snack!

Here's the list:

-Laundry: Kayla's pooped on blanket, sheets, towels

All done except for the towels. Kayla had an explosive diarrhea attack, so by the time that laundry was done, no time for the towels. Plus there wasn't enough room on the clothesline with all those sheets.

-Clean off dining room table

BEFORE

AFTER

Actually, DH was so happy the table was cleared off, he even moved his fish tank stuff!

-Clean hallway bathroom

Done -- I had to because I had to throw Kayla in the tub after her explosive poop!

-Figure out standard schedule for school year

Didn't do this yet. No brain cells left after today.

-Review Laurie's school supply list (talk about waiting until the last minute!!)

Just need to get her new crayons. She was actually content bringing her old ones.

-Organize Laurie's desk so it can actually be used for homework

Not yet, it's too overwhelming:

-Go through Laurie's clothes and pack away anything that doesn't fit

Why does she still have 3T sweaters? I put those right in Kayla's closet!

-Clean out Laurie's bottom drawer

This was full of useless papers. I threw 90% of them out and put her Legos in there.

-Make Kayla's muffins

Yummy!

-Sew/Iron Laurie's Brownie patches

I'm glad most of these were Iron-Ons. I don't have a sewing machine, so I have to hand sew them. It's a pain.

-Vacuum living room

A couple of times. Why do I let her eat pretzels in there?!?!?!

-Go through Kayla's clothes

Wow, she has a lot of socks! Not so many long pants, though. Packed away 1/2 of her summer clothes for the attic. I bet they still fit her next summer!

Tense about tenses

Boy, I was reading some of my posts and I really have a problem with tenses! I switch from past to present tense constantly. I remember a teacher in high school getting on me for that. He made me re-write an entire short story because I used three different tenses.

The funny thing is that I had "recycled" that story from a couple years ago. And I had actually WON a contest with that story and got actual prize money! It was some idealistic story and the theme was "Justice - the Roots of Peace". I rember using the past tense in the first paragraph, the present tense in the second paragraph and the future tense in the third paragraph. I thought it was a pretty cool literary device (well, as far as sixth graders can be literary!).

Apparently, though, this didn't sit well with my high school teacher! So sorry if my inconsistent tenses bug anyone else!
